During one battle for instance, I killed their general but their armies were still willing to fight. Like all the other games in the series, it features a mixture of turn-based strategy on a campaign map and real-time tactics on a battlefield. I don't know if it's the difficulty but the French are really hard to shake morally speaking. I mean, I've got at least 7 units of standard infantry (line infantry) and two guerilleros (tiradores).

Like seriously, I had started researching at the start of the game but 70 turns in, because some university got taken, I lost that amount of research and only got to finish it once I captured it again (it was Guerilla 1).
